Kamran Lashari Visits the Library and Delivered a Lecture on Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Pakistan |
| Mr. Kamran Lashari visited CIIT Islamabad Campus Library and delivered a lecture on preservation of cultural heritage in Pakistan. Mr. Lashari is a distinguished bureaucrat and is well known for his work and achievements in promoting culture, heritage and tourism in Pakistan. Mr. Lashari along with CIIT officials took a round of the library and saw different sections of it. During his visited he was facilitated by Raja Muhammad Ibrahim, who briefed him about the resources, services and facilities which are on offer for educational community of CIIT. Later on he delivered a lecture on the preservation of cultural heritage in Pakistan. Speaking at the occasion he highlighted the importance of packaging and presenting the cultural heritage of Pakistan to the world so that tourism can be promoted. The lecture was organized by the Department of Architecture and Design at the conference room of the library in which large number of CIIT faculty members and students participated. An invigorating question and answer session followed the lecture providing an excellent opportunity to the audience to share their views with Mr. Lashari, who also shared his initiatives and achievements and personal experience with them. |
